The two earthlings bid the chiseled guard farewell at the gates of the city, Loke waving with a chipper smile and barely getting any reaction back, but he could have sworn he saw a slight smile at least. “Lead the way boss.” he grinned, turning his attention to his ginger employer, who was pulling his cloak closer around himself in the freezing rain. “Right. What’s funny?” he gave the big man a bewildered look, but Loke just looked innocent. “Nothing boss, don’t worry about it.” he just sniggered, and Erik shook his head before urging Trubadur on to pick up the pace. He had been watching the autumn festival being set up for a few days now, lingering in the shadows out of sight, biding his time. Years of hiding had made him restless, and he needed something to do, something to fight. A purpose. He had been a King among batailles, eternally bonded to the one true King of Unicornia. Now? Well, he had to admit to himself it was quite pathetic to consider taking your frustrations out on some peasants throwing an autumn festival, but razorfiends got quite boring to fight after a while. Especially since barbecuing them was surprisingly effective. The aftermath had not gone as planned. True the act in of itself had been satisfying enough. Screaming peasants, panicked classiques and burning stalls to stomp were all part of a job well done, but he had not counted on Unicornia calling for aid. Strange humans and their strange smelling classiques came to pursue him, forcing him to retreat into a deep cave in the hopes that they would lose their trail. They
