Personality: Arcane isn't one you want to anger, his cruetly knows few bounds if you've gone against his authority. He isn't exactly what you would call "cheery", and is often found deep in thought or in a poor mood. His mood can be hard to read and one must be careful not to disturb him in a particularly pissy moment. When irritated he usually furrows his brow or wrinkles his nose, and those that know him better tend to retreat when this happens.
Despite a heated temperament Arcane is very cunning and well-spoken, always choosing his words carefully and acting in ways that make his authority as prominent as possible. He knows very well how far words and careful planning can get him, he always prefers the shadows to the open field. It's much easier to decieve and get what he wants if his target suspects nothing.
The dark king has quite the possessive streak. You don't touch his females, you don't touch his stuff. If a female is loyal and obedient he will treat her with a gentle almost playful air, but as soon as he suspects she may have bedded another male or even just considered it, the silken gloves come off. Arcane isn't above punishing a female that has disobeyed him, and his punishments can vary greatly; from poisioning to execution. The kings possessivness is sometimes bordering on paranoia, he's always on the lookout for those that seek to take what's rightfully his.

Appearance: Arcane is a well-muscled but sleek, athletic male. His black mane is decorated with bright red feather-markings and his feathery tail is the same brilliant colour. His red and black coat is marred with a few scars, traces of the battle between him and his now deceased father. His bulk sometimes varies from being healthy to quite slim because of the bad hunting-grounds, but he's usually in good shape due to being the king

History: Born the son of King Novaine and his favourite concubine, Arcane narrowly escaped death as a newborn. His red and black coat was seen as a bad omen, but since the king already had Crown Prince Namo to prepare for kingship, he was spared. The black prince grew up resenting both his father and brother for wanting the peace between Skadu and Angkora to last. He didn't understand why his father would just stand idly by while their pride struggled with meager hunting-grounds and the Angkora pride grew fat from their rich territory. His brother didn't seem to think any change should be made either, he seemed to be perfectly fine with taking on their father's role as a meek peacelover. Arcane saw that something needed to be done, and so he took it upon himself to try and disrupt the Angkora pride. Carefully he ventured out without the knowledge of his father and as he met and started to befriend the unsuspecting Crown Prince Kazana he saw his chance for revenge. He made the golden prince trust him so that he'd believe anything he said, and tricked him into eating some poisonous mushrooms before leaving him for dead. Unfortunately his plan didn't work as Kazana was found and healed, spoiling any further attempts at killing him.
Arcane was furious. Had his plan worked he might've gotten his father and brother to see that change was possible, but instead nothing was changed and the black prince started plotting his brothers death in order to secure his place in succession. Posion was the way to go, and so Arcane was the victorious son; but King Novaine wasn't going to let him have what was rightfully his. Arcane fought his father in a fit of anger when Novaine confronted him about the murder, and in the end the black prince stood alone as King. Now he continues his work to reclaim Angkora, moving in the shadows to achieve his goal.
