Prideful but Content
Even if Carnarion is a stag that has taken a fair amount of ridicule among his peers, his pride isn’t hurt easily nowadays. He stands tall despite his gaunt appearance and ugly colour, proud of his blood and his status. He’s extremely content with his position as well, choosing not to contribute much at all as he claims he is much too fragile for work. Many may think this is simply laziness, and Carnarion wouldn’t dispute it, but he prefers to call it “being content”.

Negative
Lord Carnarion always finds something to complain about with everyone. Always. He especially complains about King Drustan, finding him too sympathetic with commoners and despising his way of ruling Glenmore. Carnarion is sure that Glenmore will perish under the pale King’s rule.  

Traditional and Religious
The gaunt stag has been taught from birth who he is above and that he has strong royal blood in his veins, the heritage of the gods. Carnarion believes that everything was better before Drustan took the throne. He has a strong belief that the old way works perfectly, and aims to follow the true traditions of Glenmore.

Lord Carnarion is also very religious, though not very much outwardly as he doesn’t want to come off as “fanatical”. He adores most princesses as they are the daughters of Áillte, but worships Óganach and Earrann most as he believes that at least a smidgeon of their blood flows through his veins.

Snarky
Carnarion always observes his surroundings and those around him so that he will make his point across in the most effective way possible. He can be quite snarky towards those he doesn’t like (which is pretty much everyone) and sometimes he can be a little reckless, insulting those who are stronger than him or are in a higher position.  

Loyal to his blood
Despite the cold relationship that he shares with his sire and dam, Lord Carnarion has been groomed from birth to always follow the orders of his kin and to never break his promises to them. If his father fell ill he would wander the world for a cure, and if anything happened to his mother he would see to it that justice was served. As long as his blood flows through your veins, he won’t ever betray you and will always help.

Carnarion and his father share a very strained relationship. The older lord wants his son to be strong and dutiful, while Carnarion simply wants to enjoy his life in comfort. Ardghal's view of his son is a dissapointed one, and he reminds Carnarion of his flaws every chance he gets. Despite this, his lord father is the only one he would never snark at.

Lady Gwendolyn has never really been Carnarions mother, he always refers to her by name, and barely speaks with her. As she is a doe he doesn't feel entitled to give her any kind of attention either. It is clear to Carnarion that Gwendolyn didn't want him, and he doesn't want her either. It is mainly out of his loyalty to his family that he'd ever help her.

The gaunt lord never met his older brother since he died of sickness when he was but a year old. Carnarion does know that Ceallach was everything that his parents wanted, dark and strong, and that he in turn was a dissapointment as he was going to "replace" their lost perfect boy.

Carnarion dislikes his sister with a passion, and that's mainly because she's as sharp and quick-witted as he is. She enjoys playing innocent and submissive, wrapping stags around her hooves before making them reveal their darkest secrets. The roan lord is afraid of Luneris, something he'd never admit.

Lord Geraint (Younger Brother, NPC, Alive) Born Y755NA - Chestnut Max Part Restricted Fawn - ee/aa/fwfws/rzrz
The only person that Carnarion tolerates is his younger brother. They have a strange hate/love relationship, with Geraint (being more handsome than Carnarion) teasing his older brother for his faults but in a very loving way. He'll constantly warn the gaunt stag about being to vocal, wiser than Carnarion even though he's younger, and has bailed his bro out of many situations with the help of charm and a barrage of apologies.

Carnarion and Rafe had a rough start, with the then gangly colt being bullied by the chocolate lord. Since then Carn has forgiven Rafe for the incident though, and after bonding over a little too much fermented fruit from Lord Solo's garden, Carnarion is fiercely loyal to his friend and will always help him if he can. Rafe isn't spared from snarky comments though ;D Carnarion is bitter because Rafe forced him into a betrothal with Nuala, but at the same time it was his own fault and he doesn't blame the king for it. He is however not sure that he'd call Rafe his brother or friend anymore.

Morticia came to Carnarion doing rut of 762 in the Autumn. She offered him an oak-leaf, told him to ask her if she'd be his, and when he did so she said yes. She refuses to mate with the gaunt lord though, and now resides quite comfortably in his glade where she spends her days tending the herbs and flowers growing wild there. Although Carn has no idea who she is and why she's there, he can't help but feel slightly in love with the thin doe as he has never achieved any kind of affection from one before.

Appearance:
Carnarion is a gaunt and crooked-nosed lord, his sleek, unattractively coloured body is the source of ridicule from many a gossiping royals (even commoners in some cases). He bears a small rack of two tines on his head, and a slim beard grows from his chin. The only sign of Carnarion ever sparring is a thin scar across his nose-bridge, given to him by his father when he sparred with him as a colt. Lord Carnarion's voice is that of Alan Rickman's Severus Snape ;D

History:
Born the second son of a Lord Ardghal and Lady Gwendolyn after his older brother had died of sickness, Carnarion was a disappointment to his parents. Gwendolyn had wanted a strong, dark son like her previous fawn had been, and Ardghal had wished the same, but instead what they got was a wispy little colt with a crooked nose. His Lord father, not wanting to be ridiculed for producing weak offspring decided to train his son strictly, sparring with him as soon as he was old enough, while Gwendolyn wanted no part in her son’s life and had him nurtured by a hoofmaiden named Rosa.  Rosa, being a dark commoner with no sons or daughters of her own was incredibly proud of such a task, and started teaching Carnarion about the gods. The young lord would listen with wide eyes as Rosa told him tales of creation and bravery, and it shaped his religious views, making the divine a big part of his life.
Carnarion had a run in with young King Rafe when he was just a child, shaping their later relationship into a wierd friendship despite him getting his ass kicked. He did however grow sour as other lords were given princesses before him when Rafe gained kingship, and he insulted the monarch in a dumb move. The mistake landed him betrothed with the tainted Princess Nuala, and the coming two ruts were filled with bitterness and Carnarion trying his darndest to remain a respectable lord in the eyes of the herd (like he was ever a respectable lord to begin with). Two fawns came from his marriage with Nuala, a roaned daughter and a golden son; and when Nuala went up in smoke he was left with two fawns that reminded him of what his King and former friend had done to him. His harem does were left to take care of the poor cursed children, and he delved deeper into his religion to try and cope with what his life had become.
